Piling is a deep foundation solution that is required when the soil bearing capacity is insufficient to support the structure due to the site’s soil condition or when the foundation is subjected to a tension force due to wind load. Piles transfer loads from the structure to the hard layers by using the skin friction and base capacity between piles and ground layers.
